Heartland Campus Solutions manufactures computerized identification, access
control, cost recovery and vending systems. The company has implemented
these systems in colleges, universities and corporations across America
and in Canada
since 1979 (note: Heartland acquired General Meters Corporation in October
2007).
The system selected by the University of Waterloo is designed to serve campus, student and faculty identification, access and vending related requirements with the use of one card. The system is known as the UNIVERSITY ONE CARD System and at the University of Waterloo as the WatCard.
The UNIVERSITY ONE CARD System is recognized as the most advanced, fully integrated one card system available in the marketplace. It is created and supported by a single manufacturer with the use of one card. The system utilizes state of the art user terminals signed and manufactured by Heartland Campus Solutions.
A variety of creative and technologically advanced campus card services are also offered by Heartland including credit card processing, payroll services and 'off campus' merchant card programs.
With the use of the UNIVERSITY ONE CARD System and departmentally situated card readers, students, faculty and staff at institutions throughout Canada and the United States are able to access their residence halls, purchase meals and books, attend events, receive services, make photo copies, utilize laundry and vending machines, enter athletic/recreation facilities, check out equipment, and much more. Virtually every identification, access and vending related requirement is recognized and efficiently accommodated by the system.
Heartland Campus Solutions is proud to serve the University of Waterloo. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff, existing or prospective client, feel free to contact Jeff Zander, Vice President of Heartland Campus Solutions for additional information.
